Hi and welcome! I’ve been making art since I was a kid and for me it’s always been about Color and Joy. My aim is to capture not just the appearance of my subject but also its essence, be it a plant, a cat or a landscape. I’m after the je ne sais quoi of that Monstera leaf! Evoking the immediacy of life is my goal and I want you to feel emotionally connected and alive when you look at my work.
I was born in Charleston, SC and grew up in New York. After studying art at Parsons School of Design in NY and Paris, I worked in illustration, event design, and surface design. I moved back to Charleston to paint full time in 2013. The sharp light and glorious color of the lowcountry is a constant inspiration.
